A friend and I recently lunched at the Fountain restaurant in the Four Seasons Hotel in the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia. First, the atmosphere was way too classy for the denim dress I walked in the door wearing. No one else in the whole place had on denim. I should have been embarrassed. I should have been turned away. But, I was not going to leave without kicking and screaming and clutching the doorway. Why? Because, I was there on a mission. The mission was to feast on cheesesteak spring rolls. Yes, I said it. On the ever so long drive there, my mouth watered for the taste of heaven that they are. Seriously! I kid you not. They really are that delicious. The first time I experienced them was about a month ago when another friend and I ate at the Four Seasons. Anywhoo, I ordered the cheesesteak spring rolls for an appetizer and didn’t want to order an entre after taking the first bite of one of only two pieces. My friend and I shared them, but after I took that first bite I secretly desired to take full possession of them. I vowed that day that I’d revisit the Four Seasons just to devour a stacked high tray of cheesesteak spring rolls. Fast forward to my recent visit. Ahh! Dreams do come true. We feasted on 12 (yes, 12- but they are very small), spicy, tender, flavorful, cheesesteak spring rolls, accompanied by a lobster salad (thank goodness, it had no mayonnaise) that really added another dimension to yet another amazing food experience. Yummy! And yummy! And yummy infinity!!!
