On Sunday, September 23, 2012, I attended the Brooklyn Book Festival. Oh my goodness, what a crowd! Each year, the crowd grows larger and larger at this event. I had a great time meeting teachers, especially. They are a great source for getting information about new trends in children’s literature. The weather was perfect in downtown Brooklyn. Surprisingly, pigeons were few. If you’re a New Yorker, you know what I mean by that. It was interesting debating with people (who don’t write books) who believe that writing a book is a simple task. Only the idea of writing a book is easy. The process is anything but. So, there! To all the people who are only writers in their head.
