Zuri And Friends Conquer The Mountain, is a story about neighborhood friends who lose their playground to new construction. They then formulate plans to get to another playground on the other side of a large mountain nearby. However, because the mountain is so big, they can only get to the other side by going over, which they quickly learn is more difficult than they thought. Acting as a team, they execute several plans of getting over the huge mountain, but not without loud and thunderous protest from the mountain itself that seeks to discourage them from reaching their goal. Will the children succeed in reaching the other side, or will the mountain succeed in causing them to fail? This story is for ages 4 through 8, and introduces early readers to setting goals, facing fear, team-work, determination and achieving success.
